I just watched this movie and it did have some good laughs and good performances by Weaver and Liotta.
What struck me as odd was why did this movie have a theme composed by Elfman and the rest of the score was done by Debney? You'd expect a comedy like this to just have one composer attached.
I instantly would have purchased it if Weaver's rendition of "Back In The USSR" was on it.
Hehe, that was a funny moment. I guess it is plausible Elfman just contributed the theme (which I also found hard to distinguish in the movie) and Debney did the rest. I just assumed there was perhaps a rejected score in play (never too far away when you see two composers credited).
I do recall the situation with Elfman contributing a cue on "Army of Darkness" alongside the score of Joseph Loduca. Everyone seems to praise that one cue by Elfman, which is cool in its own right, but to me the score by Loduca is much richer and daring, easily making me forget that dead march cue by Elfman.

I just want to add that personally, I really enjoy listening to a lot of Loduca's diverse music like all those Hercules & Xena compositions he has written in addition to the music for the one just mentioned "Army Of Darkness".
I don't know if he's appreciated as much as he should be but he sure is one talented musician.
Does anybody know which is Elfman's theme? Both suites on the soundtrack are quite length and it should appear there but I can't identify which one is Elfman's.
