Looks great! The Aviator was an old Varese album. That's another one down! Expanded too!

Regarding Hang Em High not ever being released in North America...what was that Sony release coupled with Guns For San Sebastian? An English import? Surely not. I'm confused.

In any case, I'm all over this. Many thanks LaLaLand!

Barquero was class. Well, overdue for release.

Hang 'em High's music was poor imitation Italian style and the original LP was repetitive pants.

sorry I cant match your enthusiasm on that one.

Hang Em High looks like the same as the Sony release. Same tracklisting and same running times for each track. The description indicates that the difference is that the tracks have been remastered.

I like a bit of Frontiere after getting The Unknown cd. Like the samples. Will be throwing more money away on cd's!

While I am happy for those of you who find this exciting news I have to express my major disappointment that it wasn't the Frontiere some of us hoped for. I already have a copy of HANG EM HIGH anyway, from the previous release.

AVIATOR is a DYNAMITE score, though. Not sure why they think HANG 'EM HIGH was not available in NA before, as it was on Sony.

I agree with you. Diehard listeners expected a Daystar release or a QM release: that's the music Frontiere is first known for. In short, it is his arch-signature.

Ah, not "expected" but "assumed." Over the last couple of years reading the hints, I always know what I want most and know they will put out something I totally didn't expect.

Besides, nobody says his other stuff isn't coming eventually. As for me, Hang 'Em High has been on my want list for quite some time.

Well if anyone else wanted they would have to pay around $67.00 and up to get it.

That's the price that it's listed for at AMAZON right now.

so, this new release is a bargain compared to that.

As one Thaxton to another: STOP WHINING BECAUSE YOU ASSUMED INCORRECTLY!

Don't blame others for your error.

Computer says noooooo...

HIGH'EM HIGH is one of the biggest hits of Frontiere's career.

So to the general public that's a title he's far better known for this then the stuff you mention.

Geeks know that stuff, not JOHN Q. PUBLIC.

Ford....I don't believe I was "whining". I have the right to feel disappointed, and express it. I am a Frontiere fan and there's only a few things it could've been. I did not 'assume" anything and am not "blaming" anyone. I had a bit of info from someone in the know that La La may be working on a particular Frontiere collection which DOES interest me, and hoped that it might have been in this announcement. I realize that the title I would like to see may yet appear down the road.

Yes!... this rumored collection is why I'll pass on this latest Frontiere release. I really love the other stuff he's known for, Daystar, etc., and I'll make it a multiple copy order if La La can pull it off.

I've got the old vinyl lp of HANG 'EM HIGH and have kept my eye open for the cd for several years. So I'm quite please to avail myself of this one, with added score(s) and all. I like the fact that Frontiere is signing a certain number of copies of this release, too. I saw the announcement, and ordered it in about 2 minutes.

Of course, I'm still looking forward to this other potential release.

Did you ever consider that despite the fact that this is a really outstanding release (In my HIGHLY BIASED OPINION) that if enough folks take your approach that it would make it less likely that what you want would make sense to do if this doesn't perform?

Do you ever consider that?

Yes, I sure have. A word to the wisely interested, folks. I hope this does well, the scores are excellent.

Groovy, although it's hard to escape the influence on Hang 'em High and Barquero by Morricone and Goldsmith respectively.
