Well, make it up to him by figuring out a way to release his Body Double!!!!

I finally got around to playing this (well, up to band 18) on the way to work this morning and its good. Very good. In fact, it's excellent. I never saw the movie, and bought it on strength of the composer, and I am not at all disapointed. Great release.

You've never seen the movie? Well I'm here to tell you that it's one of the most unintentionally funny movies you'll ever see. The effects look like they were made from an 8th grade art class! big grin

But the music is quite good!

As a connoisseur of Le Bad Cinema, I ought to check this little odd ball out. It looks like a real puker!

This is a truly great score!
It's possibly the brassiest score I own. It's practically coated in Gold!
After hearing this, it reveals the old Varese LP (which I loved) to be quite the cut and paste job.
Lots of edits and splices to serve up the original programme.
The expanded edition is just great, ballsy MUSCULAR music.
And what a main theme and love theme.
He must have done a Jerry G and scored the film he saw in his mind, as opposed to the steaming pile up on the screen.
Aside from the name spell typo (already noted by some anal retent' job above) there's also a track numbers mistake (track 30 - the actual last track - disappeared) and a small error(?) in the notes about Pino's work for Cannon films.
Roger states he scored six films for them, then names five - including Hercules, while I thought he did more. I may be wrong, I must check the credits on my discs.
Still, it's the music that counts and this one really does add up!

My take is that you should NEVER state that you think somebody made an error and then say that you might be wrong and that you'll have to do some research. You do the research first, and if something was in error, you can then state it. If something was not in error, you just don't post anything to the contrary in the first place. Otherwise, we live in a world where somebody can say something like "I believe you've been convicted of fraud, but I will have to look that up to see if I'm right or not." You've just planted the seed in people's minds that fraud might have been committed. While making an error in liner notes isn't the same, you shouldn't accuse anyone of doing anything wrong unless you positively know that they have done so. And as I said, while you might be right, your own post makes it sound like you are unsure whether you are. So it would be much better to just keep your opinions to yourself until you find out whether they're indeed facts or merely false opinions.

Wow! Grouchy much!! Lighten Up Fella smile
I pretty much knew DANCERS and OVER THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE were Cannon films scored by Pino, but I also thought TCHIN TCHIN was too (it wasn't).
We're talking SOUNDTRACK CD BOOKLET NOTES here, not some major league fraud case!!
The fact more than 3 people READ MY POST would be a cause for celebration.
Anyway, life's too short, try and enjoy the rest you have smile
Plus, it's still a great score.
And that 'guilty pleasure' last track, where Pino turns the theme into a kind of CHARIOTS OF FIRE rendition.
Top Banana!

Well, I'm seven years and late to this party, but this score's great! Damn. I used to really dislike Donaggio's action/suspense writing, especially for CARRIE which sounds thin and trite to my ears, but THIS is muscular, awesome stuff. Me likes a whole helluvalot!

Yes, I do too. It is a really fun, and something different from Donaggio, who mostly scored thriller and mystery/horror movies; this one is a swashbuckling fantasy adventure score.
