Isn't it about time for Sony to put out another Disc?

The two have done so much more together since INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE.

I'd pick one up.

The last films represented in the CD noted in the previous post leave off with SCHINDLER'S LIST and JURASSIC PARK both from 1993.

Since then the pair have teamed on JP 2, SAVING PRIVATE RYAN, AMISTAD, A.I., MINORITY REPORT, THE TERMINAL, CATCH ME IF YOU CAN and MUNICH. I may have forgotten more?

Music from these 8 films could easily fill up another Collab Disc.

There's one on Telarc with the Cinci Pops/Kunzel that ends after Saving Priavte Ryan.

War of the Worlds, American Journey, and in 5 months The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Isn't there an expanded arrangement of the Civil Rights & The Women's Movement piece?

I've always hoped for a cello version of Monica's Theme from AI. There's a snippet of it on the CD, but just a few bars.

I'd also like Williams' slightly spruced up Lost World Theme he performs in concerts - snazzier intro and ending.

And "The Float" concert piece is apparently different from the CD.

And it was reported that a suite from Angela's Ashes was recorded back when the Cello Concerto was recorded for Sony. Not Spielberg, I know, but surely there must be plans to release it eventually, right?

"The Float"? Where is that from? (I should probably know that, but I don't really care about track titles and usually only read them once when I first get the CD). From THE LOST WORLD?

Well, they're useful so we know which track we're talking about it, but to me it's completely irrelevant if it is called "The Float" or "Two Singing Monkeys Travel to Kuala Lumpur". I prefer track titles that use musical terms instead of plot descriptions (i.e. things like "Andante" or "Lento" instead of "Dennis Steals the Embryo" or whatever).

Then don't listen to film music then....

Thankfully, I value film music by the actual music and not what is written on the jewel box.

Not to stretch the analogy too far, but I like to see the WHOLE soundtrack as my "child".

I really don't care for that one... And the Hymn to the Fallen is very poorly treated.
They did however recorded Sean's theme from Minority Report, and a god performance they offered at that one.

I don't think so...

Yes, there are some diferences, mainly on the sax solos, if I remember correctly. Williams recorded it on a Evening at Pops show.

And it was reported that a suite from Angela's Ashes was recorded back when the Cello Concerto was recorded for Sony. Not Spielberg, I know, but surely there must be plans to release it eventually, right?

Again, this was recorded in 2000 for a Evening at Pops show. And yes, there were reports of this being recorded, as well as Variations on Happy Birthday, bot in LA, and Call of the Champions was reportedly recorded with the LSO.

I am bumping this (admittedly old) thread as it is something I have been thinking about myself recently. Unless I have missed it, surely it would be a good addition to have a further Williams/Spielberg compilation album at this time (I am aware there have been other Williams compilations since).
As a previous poster pointed out, there has been a further 10 or so films they have collaborated on since the last disc was released. Any thoughts? (Also, wouldnt it be a third collaboration disc, after previous Sony releases 'The Spielberg/Williams Collaboration' and 'Williams on Williams'?).

Yeah, another volume would be nice, especially if they were as brilliant as the first two. The second volume, in particular (with all the HOOK selections) is one of my alltime favourite film music compilations.
