This is a really beautiful and relaxing album, that I play constantly. I also sometimes use it as a waking up album in the morning. Very relaxing and beautiful. Great cd.

It MUST be like perfume---with undertones and notes of wood, sage, flowery bouquets, and myrrh! smile

Shush, JJH! We're talking about ARMSTRONG's piano album here (ideally, anyway...there hasn't been much constructive talk about it so far).

How dare you?! My comment was pretty deep and constructive, for those who seek knowledge and enlightenment. I bet there are more notes per minute in this album than the equivalent Preisner or Sakamoto (BTTB). And I defy you to prove otherwise!

sorry Thor.

I just didn't feel the need for a new thread about a CD I thought was relative to the Armstrong.

I like to keep things pared down and efficient.

think of that first of mine as the B theme, not a off-topic hijack.

now that both themes have introduced, we're ready for development!

I really like It's My Party by Basil Poledouris, which is all piano. It's cool we can cram our piano scores together here, kinda helping the environment with our carbon footprints. Now I know how Madonna feels wink

'The Quiet American' and 'Weather Storm' are pretty cool pieces. I've been watching the DVD recorded in Paris of Armstrong playing these piano pieces and it is superb.

Just gorgeous music...
