I have to work in the morning on Christmas Eve, but after that my parents and I are having my grandmother and aunt over, and yes I still live at home.wink

Nothing to be ashamed of, henry, unless you're over 25. wink

As for me this holiday, the usual: having mom-in-law and a few other family members over to exchange gifts and enjoy a delicious feast. Plenty of beers and cheers to go along, of course.

Nothing special here. Grandparents will probably come over for the day in another week or two to drop off presents. Otherwise, same-old/same-old. Doing some more Christmas shopping on Friday. Will have a nice big breakfast Christmas morning (after opening the presents), and then a nice dinner later on.

Rather looking forward to this year's Christmas Eve. Our family is going out for a fine dinner and then going back to the house for home made egg-nog. Soft music, lovely times catching up, and a mid night service.

Even as a kid, I thought the Eve of Christmas was special. Truly special. The sheer anticipation. Once Christmas Day was there, it was like, okay- I guess that's it for another year. The entire atmosphere of the house was "it's over."

I'll leave Tallahassee to spend Christmas with my brother and sister-in-law at their home in Atlanta, along with our parents. I'm looking forward to it!

The usual stuff: I'm going back to my hometown Grimstad where I'm celebrating with my parents and sister (my brother is currently serving in the army and unfortunately cannot be there on Christmas Eve).

Oh, and in Norway we open our presents on Christmas Eve (after dinner).

Not sure, but I'll probably be the official pianist and guitarist for the occasion.
I used to love christmas when I was a kid - now, the whole event doesn't come close to what it used to be.

Work. Sniff. frown

I have told myself over and over 'THIS year I will do the Christmas thing!' Last year I went to a bunch of parties and that was the closest I came, along with spending a really cool Christmas eve with my girlfriend, and that was as close as I've gotten lately. This year, work, possibly a double.

It's that time of year again already. This year my parents and I are going to my aunts house for Thanksgiving. I'm not sure what we're doing for Christmas yet though. What are you guys up to?

No way. You should stick with whatever living arrangement is best for you and your family. I moved out when I was 26 (20 years ago) and I've always regretted it. My mother got sick and could have used some help at home, and I wasn't there.

I'm going to New Zealand between 23rd December and 7th January. It will be my first overseas trip for 13 years. By coincidence, the last time I left the country was also to go to New Zealand. Hopefully I will have internet access while I'm away, but if not you people will probably enjoy the respite from my incessant ramblings.razz

You're right, a few months ago we finished the basement and I've been living down there. I enjoy it, but if I get lonely I can just go upstairs. It really is good for all of us right now.smile
