As we discussed...those in the L.A. area (and if you are not, don't make the trip only for this, I beg you), come visit, well, me -- and each other -- at Private Island Trax in Hollywood.

We will NOT have CDs to sell!
There will be no food, composers, or entertainment. Just us.
However, it should be a nice opportunity to meet each other and talk film music, and you can see the editing room where we work on our CDs. (This is a music mixing/recording facility.)

Lukas, I really like your approach. I'm really sorry that I won't be able to be there. It's more than a decade now that you, via this site, the magazine, and your CD releases, have continually informed, entertained, and enlightened me. Thanks a lot for that!

I'd love to go, and I'm only a 4-hour drive from L.A. (which goes by quick since I do it so often), but I won't be able to go. Looking forward to hearing how it went, though, and seeing pictures.

I'm almost thankful I don't live near there. Meeting people from the board scares me at times.
Hell, just talking anonymously to some people through the board scares ME sometimes.

Ignoring the geographical constraints, I'd go if only to hand out pistols to everyone, and be able to sit back and watch the results.

Lukas or whoever, you all know there will be HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS of FSM regulars that can't come, can someone take some pictures of the event, not sure how the facility is with pictures and copyright. I have no idea how they will be having a few photos of the event on the web or of their facility, but us that can't come, we would LOVE to see some pics of the event.

I'm almost thankful I don't live near there. Meeting people from the board scares me at times. Can anyone here imagine in-person discussions, with Thor sitting right in front of you? I can't imagine the looks i'd get if I mention Barry...

Haha!! True. On the flipside, the one and only time I've met someone in person that I had first met on a forum, we hit it off instantly and have been the best of friends for the past seven years now.

I have a rehearsal that evening, but I'm going to do what I can to see if I can figure out a way to be there, because you KNOW I want to meet certain people in person, oh, yes, you KNOW I do.

If you're from or in the L.A. area and planning to join Lukas for an evening of film music gab at Private Island Trax you can make an order at SAE's web site before or on April 1st it will be shipped to Lukas at his L.A. FSM office so he can personally hand it to you and of course autograph any FSM releases of your choice. When you order at the SAE web site make a note in the order notes field that your order is to be shipped to Lukas and your shipping charge will be deducted from the invoice by us. All orders must be made no later than April 1st so we can get it out the door and please use only a credit card of PayPal for payment. If you have any titles that are not in stock at the time of shipping we will deduct them. We hope you can meet Lukas and see some of the secrets of making a cd. – The SAE/FSM staff
