Nice, Elfman finally gets the Silva treatment. However the blood-spattered, SWEENEY-inspired cover doesn't really visually reflect Tim Burton at all!

I supopse the 4 SWEENEY TODD tracks would be all-intrumental, right? interesting...

According to silvamasters.com, they were performed by The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir conducted by James Fitzpatrick

Darkman wasn't a Burton directed film, it was directed by Sam Raimi with Elfman's music...

Nightmare Before Christmas wasn't Burton-directed, either, yet it's represented.

Anyway, this is a pretty uninspired selection, so I doubt I'll be picking it up.

D'oh! I see their names used together so often, I find myself forgetting which guy is which!

Burton produced but not directed. Its a little misleading (we don't say Mel Brooks' The Elephant Man, we say David Lynch's The Elephant Man.)

He also wrote the story on which the film and was involved in just about every aspect of production. Elfman collaborated with Burton on the film far more than he collaborated with Selick.

Didn't Howard Shore compose for Ed Wood? I guess it's not all Elfman.

Ed Wood looks to be the only non Elfman track.

Their choir seems to be rather good.

What's the problem?

I was looking for an all-intrumental version of the themes.

ah yes I didn't see Sweeney, I know it's a musical but I thought Elfman did some score, guess not.
