I absolutely LOVED MR. Geller's music for Voyage and he really defined the musical tone of the season. If there is ever a release of Voyage music, his work should be among the scores released. Truly great stuff.

Only two scores from the series have been released so far (Paul Sawtell's music for "Eleven [Days] To Zero" and Sir Jerry's "Jonah And The Whale") as part of GNP Crescendo's Irwin Allen set.

Plus a track from Nelson Riddle's "Escape From Venice."

This is the birthday of Harry Geller.

Find the music credits for "The Innocent" from "Mission: Impossible".

got the complete CIMARRON STRIP dvd set recently; his name comes up frequently as composer - enjoyable music that isnt too TV-cliched.

Yeah, I have this set as well.

Harry scored some great stuff for this show.

Nice to have this thread back again to discuss
this wonderful, underrated TV Composer...:-)

I'm not a Western fan - I got CIMARRON STRIP for the Herrmann-scored, Harlan Ellison-scripted episode about Jack the Ripper. For the other episodes, the music is often the only reason I dont fast-forward thru the long chases or fight scenes.

I have the CBS WESTERNS CD from FMS that features KNIFE IN THE DARKNESS by Bernard Herrmann - it is a great CD if you can still locate one - I picked mine up at BSX when they were kind enough to offer them at the time.

Anyway, some of those great CBS Western scores are real gems...:-)
