Nothing to do with the topic but Harkit Records made me translate cheaply and blamed me when they received complaints about the poor work they've done by themselves using an automated translator. They used this as an excuse for not paying me. They are unprofessional and not nice people.

Alex,
I think Harkit was smoke screening you with their harsh tone and legal threats.
In fact, their e-mail could be used as evidence against them, disclaimer or not, for their poor business practices and lack of professional conduct. It is, more or less, the behavior of a criminal to lash out instead of communicating in a civil manner primarily because they have something to hide.

In other words, Harkit is full of HAR-SHIT.
Pardon my honesty. wink

Whatever you say.

So all Harkit haters don't read this:

NEW Goldsmith TROUBLE WITH ANGELS for only 2,99 euros (it was 17 euros!), shipping included from Play.Com

I have always found Harkit records to be ok, at the time they seemed to be releasing cd's that no other company had ventured into taking on, ok they were all mainly vinyl transfers, but it was nice to have the soundtracks on a cd.
A year or so ago they announced a (premier) release on cd of Petulia?
I informed them that FSM had already released this score on a cd coupled with Alice's Adventures, so how could this be a premier release?
To which this is their reply from my emails copied and paste, hence to date the cd never materialized.

Thanks for this.
Our version faetures additional material and new notes.
Your points are noted, however.
Best wishes,
Cinzia Rocca for Harkit

Just an error on their part, they just needed to do a little more research, been interesting to know what the (additional) material would have been?

Dave

I look forward to Intrada's deluxe version of POPE JOAN.

Given their prolific pace,
Intrada will soon prevail (if it truly does happen to be in their pipeline)
Leaving egg on Harkit's proverbial face.

The pretense is practically dripping from that email.

I think it may have been Harkit who announced a UK CD collection of songs performed by French/British thrush Louise Cordet. However, that release never came to be. The Louise Cordet songs were released by a larger label about three months after the original Harkit announcement.

The only music tapes of Pope Joan where the ones I used for the restoration I did for Harkit...so this will be one case where there won't be any other future release. But I am just having some tapes from a British composer cleaned up for Intrada...
