It's not going to happen. Intrada isn't releasing old Universal sountracks, only the albums (from UMG). The albums from the first two would make a very nice twofer release.

... yes it would, if the tapes still exist after the fire!
I have posted numerous times about AIRPORT 1975. I just love the score by John Cacavas as well as the film. The MCA cd is a cherished possession of mine. I was watching the film not that long ago... again. There must be more film score music than the tracks on the Japanese cd or so it seems. I would love to see all four Airport scores released. Bonus tracks would be wonderful too. Schifrin's Airport 79' The Concorde has an impressive and recognizable opening theme. I cannot recall the rest of the the film music from this particular film.
In fact, any film music score by John Cacavas would be welcomed on my part. I don't know if anything else by him has been released besides AIRPORT 1975. He has done a lot of TV. Kojak music would be nice. A great 70's crime TV series.
Films by UNIVERSAL, folks--so don't hold your breath. Intrada could possibly budge the LP version of AIRPORT 1975, but the original AIRPORT was Decca, opening a different can of worms.

No. As I understand it, Decca is now part of UMG, so Intrada could release it, but it's already been out on CD (Varese) so it might not sell enough to be worth it.
I'm especially fond of Cacavas's Unreleased AIRPORT '77. Ony releases I've been able to get are an MCA 45 of Roger Williams and orchestra doing a pop version of the main theme, and a Japanese Philips 45 of a very slow-tempo pop cover version (with a cool picture sleeve).
Similarly Schifrin's Airport '79 has a great Main Title and End Title and some nice suspense cues. I managed to track down earlier this year the MCA 45 which has the End Title suite as well as the hilarious "Love Rhapsody" which features such memorable lyrics as "Have lunch, have fun a bunch!"
