In my generally fruitless search to see or at least hear about obscure films that might be worth at least laughing at, I ask the above.

I would like to. Marina Sirtis is in it, pre-TNG, and I hear that she has a...well, how do you say it, a very revealing role...

It's a dopey movie but, man, is the music good...

I'd buy a CD release of this in a second.

I saw it several times on HBO or Cinemax when I was a kid. They aired it incessantly in the mid '80s. I remember it being silly, but dashing and amusing at times. Don't remember the music.

Music by the great Tony Banks,Genesis keyboardist. I made my own CD from the official cassette release (also put out on LP) There's orchestral cues and his synth versions of the score on the album.

I may have it on videotape here recorded off of one of the Showtime showings. I recall it not being very good.

Awful, awful movie. But Dunaway stripping her rival with a whip...priceless.

And the orchestrations were handled by Christopher Palmer, conducted by Stanley Black, which is the best material, IMO.

Dave,

There's a compo of clips on Youtube (all of Faye's scenes).

WICKED LADY is pretty unwatchable, not just because it is a confused farce with random pacing, but also because it's shot almost entirely on an overzealous zoom lens. honestly, it reduces the film to 70s snuff trash in period (with all of these grast British theatre actors). Michael Winner, by the way.

Thanks you for nudging me over there, Ahem.

I've started watching it. It is quite camp, and not quite funny for being so.... yet. (I'm only 10 minutes in).

U.S. distributors Scorpion Releasing have revealed that they are planning to bring to Blu-ray Michael Winner's period action The Wicked Lady (1983), starring Faye Dunaway, Alan Bates, John Gielgud, Glynis Barber, Prunella Scales, and Denholm Elliott. The release is expected to arrive on the U.S. market later this year.

The music score by TONY BANKS is fantastic.
