I always felt that that RCA series would make a great benchmark of scores to be totally recorded. So for example, if there's a score that had a Gerhardt suite but doesn't have a re-recording or at least an OST release, there ought to be rioting in the streets until it becomes a reality. In fact, it would make a great thread here to list all those scores and discuss how many have become a reality in terms of OST releases or re-recordings since. Here's the start of that thread. You are correct. About 13 minutes are on Varese Sarabande VSD 302-066-053. That's considerably more than the 3 minutes on the Gerhardt disc. Thanks for the effort. It's the Munich Symphony Orchestra with Carl Davis as conductor. Is this a reissue of the Bay Cities CD release? I'm not the biggest fan of it and rarely play it (mostly because I'm not too keen on Max Steiner), but from the list above, it looks like it is the one with the most tracks from otherwise unreleased scores(?).
