Revisiting one of my favorite threads. Planning a trip to LA in the future. I noticed several people listing places Goldsmith liked to eat. Would love to hear some more if any new ones are known. Would be cool to dine at his frequent hops. I doubt Outback was high on his list.
Did these guys eat breakfast cereals? I could picture Jerry sleepily working through a crystal bowl of "Honey Nut Cheerios." Or maybe he'd like a bowl of fresh sugared blackberries, and some heavily-buttered, starchy, glutenous white toast (or Jewish rye?) with a steaming cup of black coffee alongside his ever-present unfiltered cigarette.
Did John Barry ever eat Weetabix?
John Williams seems like a caviar omelette kind of guy; so sophisticated in his black conductor's turtleneck.
But he always ate them exactly the same way. Always left to right, always with precisely the same amount of milk. And very, very slowly, even when he should have been in a hurry.

Ha! See what you did there. But you forget that in the sixties he was eating them in creative ways that nobody else had even conceived of, and sharing them with ladies that most mere mortals couldn't dare even to dream about.

I love it that your hatred of all things Bond comes out in every post.

Au contraire, I'm a big fan of some Bond movies - The early Connery's, the first five Moore movies, the second Dalton and the first couple of Brosnan's. I love a lot of the scores too (including a few of John Barry's). But TG knows I am just joshing with him. Plus, it's always good to get a rise out of Richard W, self-appointed arbiter of what aspects of 007 we should and shouldn't like. In fact I really should have run the weetabix fun past him first just to get his permission.
But let's not derail this fun thread with such irrelevance. There are plenty of other Bond threads in which I can mock Richard.
I was about to ask our UK posters if Outback Steakhouse operated in their neck o'the woods. Apparently they did, but no longer.
"It is with a heavy heart that i have to tell you all that Outback Steakhouse in the UK has closed down. We have loved working with you all and served some great and loyal customers over the many years we were here. It has been bonzer and we hope to be back some day in the future."

It was probably all the heavy hearts suffered after eating there that got them closed down.
