For reasons that might be even less interesting than this post, I was trying to remember famous SINGLE eyeball closeups in film.

I came up with:

2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY - Dave's flight through infinity

BLADE RUNNER - title sequence

maybe PSYCHO - after Marion's murder

Any more?

FIRE IN THE SKY, when the aliens have Travis on the operating table and penetrate his eyeball with that long needle. Yikes!

Star Trek First Contact; it's not so much a close-up as it is a tracking shot, but the first shot of the movie starts from deep within one of Picard's eyes and tracks out to reveal the inside of a Borg cube. One of my favorite shots of that movie.

Doesn't A CLOCKWORK ORANGE start with one -- or is it both Alex's eyes?

*David, let me know if the pics are too gross and I'll remove them. Just trying to shed some light on the scenes...they're true eye openers! Or maybe eye closures? Hee Hee (^_^)
