Executives at Disney has decided to not produce a CD "because there is no song" (they forgot that The Incredibles didn't contain songs too - Alzheimer is a terrible desease)... So here we go again: people like SchifyM think it's useless but I created a petition. Feel free to sign. Maybe it won't change anything, but at least, we would have tried... http://www.petitiononline.com/CDFORUP/

There is a song, actually, so that doesn't make sense. Also, it's not iTunes-only, it's digital-only because it's on Amazon's MP3 store.

One part of me wants to hold out for a CD. (I'm still holding out for The Black Hole.) The other part of me wants to listen to this superb film score right now!!

Part of me does understand the frustration, but we get what we get you know, so I can ask this , if all music (including filmscores) go to downloads are you going to stop listening? We move with the times or we dont, then we miss out. I felt the same way at one time, I refused to download anything, I download one track from itunes , one time, well the rest is history. I download all the time now. I still buy cds too, sometimes both.

I wonder if somebody working for FSM or Intrada could take a minute and speculate on the likelihood of UP (and Spider-Man 3 and others) being released by the smaller specialty labels, as opposed to the big companies' media distribution. I mean, is it even remotely realistic to imagine a deal where UP is released as download only for the masses and as a limited CD pressing by Intrada for film music lovers? On the movie's release date? Or are there too many hoops to jump through? I like to believe that this sort of thing is a possibility in a future where downloads are the norm, but I could be kidding myself.... You wouldnt make any money or the company wouldnt, think about it there arnt that many of us. Now if you were a millionaire and did it just for fun not to make a buck, hummmmmmmmm, anyone want to give me a million dollars. and selling a filmscore like Jerrys In Harms Way, isnt like Britney Spears or Hanna Montana coming out with a cd. Britney, Britney, Britney!!!! Jerry Who?? In arms what??? or like what I get from people at my job, thats Star Wars , Right ?

If I have to burn my own CD, I want to download full WAV files. I will not buy Mp3s.

Just suck it up and download it , good grief, get it from amazon if you dont like itunes. Its pointless to wine about it because it is gettable. But here in the UK we can't download it due to regional restrictions and the fact neither iTunes UK nor amazon.co.uk have it available... and the film isn't out until October over here, so presumably that's when it will be available. If it was out on CD I could just order it from SAE now! Instead, I'll have to wait about four months to get it on a format I dislike... And yes, I do understand the financial considerations that have probably led Disney to make this decision (which can be summed up as "this won't sell anywhere near as well as High School Musical 3, so let's just not bother" - not that I'm bitter!). Doesn't mean I have to like it or that I can't find it a shame that perhaps the most critically acclaimed score of the year will not be available on a physical format. N.p. Terminator Salvation (Danny Elfman). On an ancient, obsolete format called a "Compact Disc"!
