Okay, I was just wondering how we knew it was going to be a CD in Japan. If I'm not mistaken, the ads and credits for UP mentioned "Soundtrack available on Walt Disney Records" too. I really hope this is true.

I really hope this is true. Well, it is true already, since the album download is from Walt Disney Records - it's referring to the name of the label, not the format. If you download it from iTunes as AAC files or from Amazon as MP3 files, you are getting an album released by Walt Disney Records. That said, I too would prefer a physical CD, and if there is indeed a foreign release forthcoming that might be obtainable as an import at a price I can afford, I'd like to get it, but unless we get some concrete info about it soon I'll just give in and get it from iTunes. Does anyone have any concrete, specific info about this alleged forthcoming Japanese issue?

This score has so many wonderful things in it! I think it's become my favorite Giacchino work... Is that a 5/4 time signature I hear in "Escape from Muntz Mountain?" That's so great.
