Sorry if the headline is misleading, but it IS the title of the film! This was a 2003 self-mockumentary directed by Shore himself, in which he's using self-parody and satire to portray his dwindling career and the wrong choices he made in the late 90's. The point-of-departure is the ill-fated sit com PAULY from 1997 that began his downfall. It's not exactly a laugh fest, but nor is it intended to be, I would assume. The many cameos by various celebs is amusing, and the "kicks" towards various people in the industry are well-directed. All in all, an entertaining exercise in satirical self-redemption! On the music side, there's a score by two guys named Lanny Cordola and Matt Sorum, who I have never heard of before. It isn't really very noticeable either, except maybe the "prison montage" scene, where there's a sort of Spanish mamba(?). However, there's a long list of artists being used, often in grunge or hip hop mode. You know, by the likes of Poison, Limp Bizkit, Dr. Dre, Sugarplastic etc. Also, as you may have gathered, there's a cameo by Oingo Boingo's "Little Girls" used for the premiere party of the ill-fated PAULY show. At first, I thought Shore used it only for nostalgic purposes, but as it accompanies a scene of sleazy ol' guys like Tom Sizemore hitting on young blondes, there's obviously another purpose to it! I don't believe there ever was a soundtrack.
