This was an excellent movie in my opinion. I recently watched it again and it's hard not to tear up. Angelo Badalamenti's score which remains my favorite of his up there with Twin Peaks is nothing short of eloquently beautiful. The music accompanies the film wonderfully.
Angelo's music particularly that of David Lynch movies are usually very dark and cosmic not to mention the heart tugging melodies that seem to come from a whole other place. He has got a great knack for the synth score which in my opinion enhances the music more so than that of acoustic instruments in certain instances.
Just curious about your thoughts on this great gem of a score by Badalamenti and any scores by him for that matter. I love his work with David Lynch and the filmmaker/composer collaboration just go together perfectly like that of the Coen brothers and Carter Burwell.
Beautiful album, wonderful film, great that 'the Mouse' (Disney) is cool enough to occasionally think out of the box and employ people like Lynch (Story) and Christopher Young (Country Bears), so I give them credit for that....
Really lovely themes here, and a nice long album, HIGHLY recommended!!!
