SAE inaccurately list it as «first time on CD» : I wonder in what this re-release could be different from the British EMI Classics budget reissue from 2004 (apart from not featuring MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS!)... Certainly the very thin, pinched sound quality left room for improvement!

And the quote that it is the original cover isn't true.
IT'S PROBABLY THE FIRST EDITION ON CD WITH THE ORIGINAL LP BRITISH COVER (THE FILM IS BRITSH, NOT AMERICAN) AND INDIVIDUAL BOOKLET. THE EMI CLASSIC EDITION IS VERY POOR FOR THIS BIG MASTERPIECE!!
I only recently discovered this score, and I LOVE it. Along w/ NICHOLAS & ALEXANDRIA, definitely my favorite RRB score I've discovered so far - anyone have any similar recommendations from this wonderful composer? His collaborations w/ Marcus Dodds (the aforementioned as well as FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD and eerie, the still-unreleased VOICES) were always great...ditto that for Trevor Jones as well (DARK CRYSTAL, NATE & HAYES, THE SENDER).
