Yes, the tv version had Weathers losing his arm...and a fleeting glimpse of the skinned bodies. I've read the deleted scenes are more graphic, so I was wondering what they were.
I'm asking the question because I'm thinking about buying the dvd. Based on what I've heard so, far, the tv version didn't delete as much as I thought.

The movie has some gore to it but its certainly nothing close to the horror movies these days.
I also saw Predator for the first time on TV. From what I remember, they took out or re-edited some parts to remove stuff but it was so well done, you didn't really miss the gore or whatever.
Jesse Ventura was another one. Just after he's killed, Dutch and Dillon consider the damage done and there's a moment where his newly ventilated body is turned towards the camera. It's done tastefully, really - you only see the gaping chest wound for a second - but I've seen a TV version where that part of the image is trimmed and the rest blown up to fill the screen.
Another one might be the scene early in the movie where Billy stumbles onto the skinned bodies of the green berets who'd gone in before.
The cool thing about PREDATOR is that it's so well made that little is lost with these edits because it doesn't depend on that gore or language to be effective. (No offense to always appreciated gore and language, of course.)
It's been many years since I've seen the tv version, but the skinned bodies are seen in a fleeting glimpse on tv. I saw a video yesterday of the movie version showing the graphic skinned bodies in the longer scene. I don't remember any brains splattered or gaping chest wound on the tv version, but I remember Carl Weathers' arm being cut off. Overall, I agree with you in the the tv version isn't missing a lot compared to the movie version except for some gore.
