Now that's music to my ears! Freud and Seconds in the space of a couple of months. We only dreamed of it. Bodes well for all you fellow-List-of-Adrian-Messenger-types. I can hardly wait.

45+ minutes. Amazing score, definitely one of Goldsmith's better early scores.

Well Eugene, you wrote exactly what I wanted to say about these three scores. All I can say is ditto, ditto & hopefully ditto!

Oh sweet challenging atonality and serialism, not for the faint of heart. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar... smile

A no brainer, a major early Goldsmith score is a must have, I have been waiting for this one since the advent of CD'S.

Sillystring, no need for foul language.

Of the three Club releases, ordered this only - never seen the film, never heard the music (don't recall the usage in Alien) can't hear the samples on work PC.

Goldsmith should be known as "The Man with a Thousand faces"

At 3000 copies, it should still be there later in the week after I get paid. I will pair it with Justine or Studs Lonigan.

Varese have come up trumps once again, this is indeed a very welcome release in the Jerry Goldsmith canon. Ordered!

Exciting news!

Just a little nitpick: on the back cover it seems they spelled wrong the recording engineer name ("Federico Savino", while it's "Savina") and the recording facility name (it's not "International Recorders", but "International Recording").

BTW, I didn't know Jerry recorded this one in Rome.

Varese is infamous for typos...

This is really weird! No kidding, I said to good old Marian yesterday, that we will get "Freud" among "Top Gun Expanded" and "Spartacus". Of course, it was meant as a joke, but sometimes you just hit the nail right there. Very cool. An expensive but very wonderful year to be a film music lover.

"Freud" is most definetely ordered!

I'm only familiar with this score through the bits and pieces in the ALIEN film. Listening to the sound clips now, this sounds like Goldsmith in his challenging, dissonant mode. Interesting, for sure, and under other circumstances I might have picked it up, C&C or not.
