DVD Beaver has reviewed the Blu-ray of STORY OF A WOMAN. According to the disc specs shown with the review, the film, in what is supposedly its R-rated version, clocks in at almost exactly 90 minutes, just as all the reference books have said.

But the long-gone YouTube version (from a Toronto TV broadcast) that was the subject of much of this thread ran 93+ minutes. And that version excluded the pre-credits sequence and a bedroom scene or two that featured a topless Bibi Andersson. So, I don't know what to think of this Blu-ray release.

It didn't occur to me until now, but it's possible that the TV version was edited to not only remove footage from the R-rated version, but to add back unused footage that didn't make it into the theatrical version, such that the TV running time exceeded the theatrical running time.

If true, might that mean the loss of some music cues? Fortunately, earlier in this thread, I jotted down all the music cues in the TV version, so that we have something to compare to this Blu-ray.

In a second review of the Blu-ray (See: https://www.zekefilm.org/2021/09/05/story-of-a-woman-1970-blu-ray-review/), the reviewer notes that "Karin, our approaching-middle-aged heroine, is very sorry at the very beginning after her car hits Bruno’s."

That is the description of the pre-credits sequence that was missing from the TV version, so it appears that this may indeed be the theatrical version on the disc, and that my hypothesis that the TV version added back unseen footage may be correct. So, what is missing from the TV version, and was any of it scored?
