Did this film have a score or music of any kind?

I can't remember.

Okay. Here's the opening of the film with the answer:

WARNING: You will see a baby's penis in the clip.

Good question, I can't remember either. It must have been at least 20 years since I saw this film.

There is a track by David Shire for this film on his FILM MUSIC promo CD, but I think it was replaced by the song. I can't remember if any Shire score ended up in the film proper.

In the movie are perhaps 5,6,7 or even 8 minutes of music composed by Shire, if I remember correctly.

Could be. But in the film, Shire is credited for music adaptation only.

Wonderful film - one of the best adaptations of a novel ever.

But the choice of the Beatles´ song "When I´m 64" is perfect for the introductory sequence.

Don't forget the Nat King Cole song, "There Will Never be Another You." That's the one that makes the movie for me.
