I wonder if there is any movement on a potential deluxe release of this title from LaLaLand. Watched the film again last night. Still love its look and sound from the opening Paramount fanfare right through to Prodigy's Funky shit! The original album is a mess!

Glad to see this thread about a masterpiece movie ressurected. Sadly, I don't think we'll ever see a director's cut of this (but perhaps a different sort of deluxe edition, even if it's 1 year after its 20th anniversary).

There is no Prodigy in the movie, BTW.

Watched this movie years ago when it came out and found it to be so-so back then... but recently, I picked up the Blu-ray for cheap and am going to revisit this some time soon (I hope). Unfortunately, the director's cut seems to be impossible to release because of apparently destroyed footage.

Rewatching the film recently was a revelation!

Interestingly, just recently I stumbled upon the Blu-ray and thought... well, I think I should give this another shot. :-)

Mmmmm...Who performs the track used over the end credits?

Just me, but I was very disappointed in both film and score.
The film started with such great potential, then devolved into copying Alien, The Shining, Alien3, 13 Ghosts, ad infinitum. And what was it with the eyeless thing? Once wasn't enough?!?
The score had some highlights but sounded too much like Alien3 lite but not nearly as good as Goldenthal, and I really like Michael Kamen (RIP)!

Unfortunately I agree. I wish I could like it more. Here is DVD Savant's review.

Sorry I misunderstood you. Thought you were talking about the main credits music, which is all Orbital and Kamen. You’re right that it appears over the end credits.
