I think most of us Goldsmith fans have heard the complete piece written for the ride SOARIN at Disney, but here is the music heard when you are boarding or loading onto the ride. Very nice music by the maestro.

Cool, beautiful variations of his SOARIN music a lot of us may not have heard. Enjoy!:

Super cool thanks Zooba Dooba Doo!

I of course would love to have these two clips, but I'm happy with the one track we do have. This still is my favorite ride EVER.

The same music is heard in the entry plaza between the two parks. The music heard in Condor Flats where Soarin' is located (in Anaheim the original) consists of various film scores covering the era of flight. Bill Conti's The Right Stuff and others. The exit music will probably never see a recording as it is considered too minor for the Disney folks. It is meant as crowd movement music.

Move over to the Winery transition area to the Boardwalk and Paradise Pier area and other film music like The Accidental Tourist and Rudy become evident as you move through the area.

A number of years before "Soarin' Over California" was made, I actually had an idea for an IMAX-type movie which would consist of an arial journey above the state of California -- which ideally would have been scored by the greatest California-born composer, Jerry Goldsmith.

I guess I better develop the rest of my ideas before someone else does!
