Yes, what happened? Does anybody know anything?

I have been trying to get some of his music (especially his promotional CDs), but without any luck. And he does have a website (www.markwatters.com) but it hasn't been updated since 2004!

So I couldn't contact him through his website...

IMBD says, that he was still scoring a few films recently.

Anyway, I would love to find out more about him and I would love to have his CDs for the Summer Olympics 1996, Major League Baseball Memorable Moments, True Life Adventures: Dances Of The Caribou, Doug's 1st Movie and The Lionhearts...

The question remains. What happen to Mr. Watters?
Has anybody heard anything from him?

I am still looking for his (promotional) CDs of Summer Olympics 1996, Major League Baseball Memorable Moments, True Life Adventures: Dances Of The Caribou, Doug's 1st Movie and The Lionhearts...

Can anybody help?

I still only remember his Olympic music for the opening back in 96. Something tells me he worked on Tiny Toons too, but I may be mistaken.

Maybe he decided to focus exclusively on concert works?

The IMDB listing is probably your best source of recent credits, if any.....

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0915053/

I suspect that, as a student, you are a young collector, anxious to have everything.

But I also assume you must know that not everything a composer writes ends up on CD near the time of composition---or even at all!

Perhaps you'll have to wait 5-10, or even 50-70 years---like I have---for some of YOUR favorite composer's pieces to be released.

True. I just found it strange, that he used to have a website and then it was never updated and now it disappeared! I have a few of his released CDs and a animation sampler, and I really like the music. So I would have liked to find out more or anything about what he's up to...

I think he may be otherwise employed:

Just found out he composed the wonderful orchestration on Bluth's The Pebble and the Penguin. Mark also scored All Dogs Go to Heaven 2 which is also excellent. Both are full bodied, and thematic. Talk about an underused talent!

Mark Watters and Richard Stone collaborated on a rousing score to the PBS documentary MEDAL OF HONOR: TRUE STORIES OF AMERICA'S GREATEST WAR HEROES that was released by BSX in 2012.

I completely forgot about this thread. I'm listening to "Aladdin and the King of Thieves" now and he's absolutely AMAZING! Been playing his music all week.

These days, Watters is conducting.

This past February, he did the 'live-to-picture' concert of 'Batman (1989)' in Rochester, NY. See him in this behind-the-scenes video of that concert done by a local Rochester TV news station.

He scheduled to do this same concert in Orlando, FL on March 2024.
