A great composer and seriously underrepresented on record. Here is one of my favourite scores by Bruce Smeaton and I would love to have it if released...

Thanks for posting. Didn`t know that one. A wonderful impressionistic score.

you're welcome! I have mentioned this score before but this is the first time I've seen more than a clip of the film up on youtube. I'll watch it again very soon I think.

And here's the other Smeaton score I always bang on about like a stuck 45 everytime I get a chance. ( it's also known as CIRCLE OF IRON )

Bloody gorgeous it is too. Check out the first 2 minutes of this vid to hear this gorgeously melancholic/mystical theme...

Timmer... The Silent Flute has been my number one non-Barry grail ever since we got The Yakuza. Think it'll ever see the light of day?

All we can do is hope. I don't even know if any label has ever shown interest or looked into doing this one?

I don't know how you feel about downloads, but it's on iTunes for $5.99:

For those who prefer a CD over a digital album, the Smeaton compilation featuring the entire Iceman album is still available (new) for £6 at Amazon UK:

This is such a wonderful and emotional score. One of the very few scores where the shakuhachi doesn`t get on my nerves.
Since the Southern Cross CD is pretty rare by now, I hope that there will be a rerelease in the future.
