Seems like Medicopter 117 has also got volumes 2 and 3! And vol 3 is 3 hours of Levay! MikeP?

Holy crap, how did I miss this earlier ? 3 hours ! Ok, this is awesome big grin Thanks for the tip, although I'm kinda late to see it.

This made my day !!! It'd be so nice to get more prime Levay out in the marketplace - with the current hot trends/ fads of "synthwave" or "retrowave" music, seems like some of his vintage scores would do well aimed at that audience.

Indeed. The following 11 feature films has got ZERO score by Levay released:

FLASHFIRE
STONE COLD
COURAGE MOUNTAIN
BURGLAR
MANNEQUIN
WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN?
TOUCH & GO
CHOKE CANYON
MY MAN ADAM
CREATOR
WHERE THE BOYS ARE '84

And then we have all the TV stuff too.

So enough to take from!

Bought it from iTunes a few days ago. Volumes 2 and 3 at once. I liked both very much. But my very favorite cue "Abflug" (Volume 3):

A very cool mix of electronica and orchestra!
Very cool how Sylvester Levay created music in a modern style, but at the same time retained his original style of his period of work in Hollywood from the 80s to the 90s.

I have all three volumes.

I know you mean orchestral is the "modern" style, but in a way it isn't. It's really older than the synth style. :-D

But Levay has been arranging orchestras since the 70s, so he knows his way around an orchestra if it's needed.

Damn, sometimes it is difficult for me to correctly and accurately convey the thought- in some musical terms it is difficult for me to get used to ... and sometimes it's hard to internalizesmile. Therefore, I will take into account your thought. Thanks.

Of course I know that Sylvester fumbles in the orchestra! smile
Would like to add that those who are generally familiar with Levay's scores will easily recognize Sylvester's style in Medicopter 117.

In general, now I have "two weeks of Sylvester Levay" - that is, basically during this period I listen to his scores and watch films for which he has scored. Sometimes I really like to focus on one composer for a week or two. I don’t know which week will be next! roll eyes

I have watched 43 films scored by Levay, only Zimmer and JNH is above him on that list. One of tne few I still haven't seen is WHERE ARE THE CHILDREN, that one is almost impossible to track down.

Did you read my Ferguson filmography, by the way?

I also couldn't find this. The movie is not available on YouTube.
Since this is a thriller it would be very interesting to see what Sylvester Levay composed.
No, I haven't read it. Please give me a link.

Levay himself hadn't seen this film at all until he bought a used VHS some years ago. He told me in an email.
