After checking out the review on this site - I have just rewatched the episodes on DVD.

Really was a blast to hear Tangerine Dream's score again - I think that was my favourite part of the show. It is my understanding that Tangerine Dream are not even allowed to release any music from the show as all the masters currently reside with Universal.

Would anyone else love to see a release of some of the music from the show?

I know the show wasn't that good but for me Street Hawk is my number one holy grail that I would love to see released. One can dream!

Loved the show and the theme. Yes it would be great to see a soundtrack released for this show.

I have no relation to the series and hadn't even heard any of the music up untill two years ago or so. Then someone forwarded me to the faithful STREETHAWK remixes by that Italian guy (Pilati?), and I just fell in love with it. So while it's not a holy grail, count me in as interested if this ever gets a commercial release.

Meanwhile, the tracks by that Pilati guy are fine alternatives.

I think the TV show version is dynamite. The added drums, synth layers and samples are... dynamite! It might be the closest thing TD did to uptempo 80s synthpop, in my opinion.

I think the Le Parc versionsounds like tinny 8 bit video game music. What went wrong?

Ummm....nothing ? roll eyes It sounds just fine. Granted I've never seen the series aside from clips on the internet, but what I had heard sounded like just sequencer after sequencer. The Le Parc version, the live versions released sound great to me

Although if a CD is ever eventually released, having the theme is enough for me, I'm a rabid TD fan with over 100 albums, but, for me the true grail is The Keep.

I wouldn't go as far to say it sounded like a Super Nintendo reject, but yes, there is phat missing on the LA Street Hawk track. For one, it's missing sound FX, percussion and some beef synth analog leads prevalent in the actual main title. The tempo is a tad too slow and it's just...weak (even back in 1985 I was underwhelmed). You're better off recording and remastering the theme from the TV show opening. I'm hoping Shout Factory's SH quality is better than Parker Lewis Can't Lose. That transfer was horrendous for both seasons.

A "Grail" of sorts for me too.. but the Le Parc album / track-in-question is probably the key part so perhaps no need? (for a full StreetHawk release).

Le Parc is still widely available:

.. or, if you prefer, just grab the key StreetHawk track from the album as an .mp3 for a mere $0.99!

3 Minutes, 21 seconds of nostalgic *bliss*

The Man... The Machine... STREETHAWK!

Super Nintendo was 16 bit. I am talking original NES!

GRAIL for me!
Le Parc is a re-arranged version of the original Street hawk theme.
The original version was published, here in Italy, only on 7" vinyl record in the 80's (very rare record today).
The original version has never been published on cd.

If the ORIGINAL soundtrack will be published, I will buy it immediately!!!

Curiously, no one has responded to my mention of the brilliant Giuliano Pilati remix CD's, so let me just give you the LINK where he offers these albums for FREE!!

I've been pimping that link for a long time here. Pilati's mixes are gold. I am content with those while Froese plays with himself for the next decade.

there's nothing wrong, the album version is basically a longer version of the theme, with different drums, percussion and synths.

the TV theme is much quicker, harder, with more pulsating synths, percussion and drums.

The original TV Version has never been released officially in any format, and for me its the best version. The LeParc version is a decent alternative, but nothing beats the original.

I think Pilati's amazing cover versions are more than perfect to tide us over till the original soundtrack is eventually released.

nevermind decade, more like another 20 years. I've never understood why such great synth music has been relegated to the vaults, even though there are no orchestras etc to pay. It really is unfair on the music lover to miss out on such great tracks for so long.

alas, we can still hope, someday we might get the originals.

Wrong: in Italy an official 7" of the original theme was released, here the cover:

Actually. if you look at the picture of the rear cover (it's a bit small, so you need to squint....), there is a picture of the album cover for LE PARC. The other piece of music on the disc is 'Tiergarten' - also on LE PARC album.

In other words, I'd guess that this is the same STREET HAWK track from LE PARC, issued on the 7", along with another cut from the album?
