Anyone know the chronological tracklist of the Inception score? It might not differ too much from the current sequencing, but for instance I know "Mombasa" should come somewhere earlier on the CD.

Thanks!

It's going to be hard, since it seems that, as per usual, Zimmer has made an album with suites, with the listening experience being the most important thing over following the plot to the film. Most tracks seem to contain music from very disparate parts of the film. That kinda fits with the nature of the film itself, though smile

All true. The listening experience as is is quite satisfactory, I just like to try the chronological variation to experiment with the listening experience and see which one I like better. Thanks for your input Mr. Tilton.

This thread contains some speculation/info

I for one would love to know more about this, from anyone who has the time to investigate (I certainly don't!). Including the two bonus tracks with thoughts about what action accompanies all the cuts would be great.

Great. Thanks, Bondo. I was just listening to 'Projections' and thinking that it was the first major scene (ending where diCaprio is 'dunked').

dream is collapsing shows up very early in the movie, at least the first part before the music slows down then picks up again.

Whereabouts exactly? The cafe scene?

No, it's the same stuff that's already in "Projections". "Dream Is Collapsing" is the music from the end credits, utilizing some material from "Projections".

Inception end credits music runs for 7:12 in the film.

Dream Is Collapsing is similar but only runs for 2:24 on the album and seems to incorporate some material from Projections?

Trying to think of a way to come up with a playlist that includes the two bonus tracks and the end credits... Drop Dream Is Collapsing or keep it in the playlist? Anyone have any thoughts?

Do the end credits include any unreleased material?

I don't believe so. Just seems to combine Dream Is Collapsing with music from Projections.

I have always thought that Dream Is Collapsing was from the section at the beginning when Leonardo's dream literally falls apart and then the water comes rushing in due to his "kick".
