I have read in one interview that there's still contractual negotiations had to be done. Does it mean that you haven't started working on the album? I wonder IF you're going or not to include Elliot Goldenthal's original presentation as well, or it's just going to be a complete score?

Thanks,
Kris

We would love to do it, to complete the set, but there are no plans at this time

Last question MV. If you would this: include the complete score as well as composer's original way of presenting the album (plus the unused and alternates cues). Do you think it will be a 2CD Set? To me it looks like a 3CD set.

Complete the set?? Did you hint at (and I missed it) that Batman Forever is in development? Sorry if this is old news.

This is all a bit theoretical, isn't it? Given that he said they weren't doing it? How much thought would you put into a project you weren't doing?

Different rights issues exist with scores that have been issued (even in abbreviated form) on album already from those that have not, and I believe that the existence of Watertower Music (now Warner Bros. Pictures' music arm, since Warner Bros. Music is now in no way connected to the studio) is the complicating factor here. Since "Batman + Robin" is the only "Batman" score that has not had even a note released on CD, I'm guessing that's the hold-up.

Ahh well, maybe one day Batman & Robin can see a release.

In the meantime I'm sure LaLaLand has many more wonderful titles in the works.

Actually there was a suite of music on the regular soundtrack album.

to repeat:
I have BATMAN FOREVER and it is fine as is.
i will buy BATMAN & ROBIN only if it is a single disc, preferably Goldenthal's arrangment of tracks.
i would buy a 2cd set that contains both scores plus bonus tracks.

now, get to work, dammitt!

The suite on that album was actually from "Batman Forever."

The "Batman Forever" score album was my second-ever CD I had, purchased literally within hours of my very first CD, "Independence Day" in December of 1996. That was because I didn't have a CD player until then. It was the last day of school before Christmas break, and I went to Future Shop to choose my very first, which was a Sanyo CD/Cassette stereo. ID4 was there, so I picked it up and on the way home, got "Forever" at a different store. Few hours later I went back with the holiday money I had to pay for the stereo I chose, and that made for a great evening of music and a snowy night.

Anyway, I think it's pretty damned wonderful that La-La Land will eventually tackle "Forever", so it can join ID4 as two expanded scores under the same label, given that the originals were my first-ever CD purchases. smile

Makes me wonder if a 2 CD set would be possible had that suite actually been from Batman & Robin.
