JNH scored this film, and Clarke wrote an additional score. There is no JNH material on the album, but Clarke's funky Max's Theme shows up!

Is this the only time in history that the additional score is featured on the album, while the original score is not?

Opinions on film or score? It's on TCM tonight.

Well, John Barry's cue Wisdom of the Ages from the rejected score from The Golden Child made the album along with Michel Colombier's music.

Graeme Revell's Main Title from Don't Say A Word made Mark Isham's album although he isn't credited on the album but he is credited in the film with additional music.

Graeme Revell's additional music for The Insider made it to the soundtrack although I believe he was the original composer on the project with Lisa Gerrard and Pieter Bourke replacing him or is it the other way around.

Cool tune, typical Clarke funk!

To me it sounds like a leftover from Quincy Jones' Back on the Block album (think One Man Woman).

Yes, but TAP may be the only example of additional score featured on an album with no original score on it.

Turns out that a JNH score track called Innocent is featured as a B-side from a 7" single from the film.
