Sorry, local retailers aren't stocking the disc yet, so I'm not too worried. I hope the glitch is corrected before the disc ever makes it into my hands!

The cd has made it too the UK already and some have it and say the glitch is there and it was released by mistake on the Aussie itunes for a short time before taken off, thats how I know, sorry I didnt mean to assume.
So like you stated hopefully the fixed disc will make it here , when it comes.
Murray did say he was glad it was brought to his attention.

Hold on, hold on, not everybody spends all day on the internet you know...

This is shit news. I'm not happy. Was really looking forward to this next week. So will there be a delayed release, a recall, or a replacement?

Do you think you should edit the thread title, so that it's clear what title you're referring to?

Bit of a bugger this...unfortunately seems to be happening with quite a few releases over the past couple of years....a dozen times maybe - among thousands of releases....

....guess what I'm trying to say is that yeah, I'm a bit bummed but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it....just as I don't lose sleep over the few pops that are in the Season 4 Specials set.....truth is, shit happens. Had it been on almost any other track it might not have been such an issue - just happens to be on be beezer that a lot of people are looking forward to hearing in all it's glory.

I trust the powers that be to deal with this appropriately, but I also hope they deal with it proportionately - us score fans are a picky bloody lot sometimes and sometimes it's embarassing about how much we whine - they do not owe us the earth for a brief moment of silence, just a "whoops - bollocks - sorry 'bout that" and a download of the problem track will do just fine....(oh - and lossless downloads of the bonus tracks from the Specials and Season 5 would be cool too wink )

Silva - I know you're around - in case you read this, hope you take it in the spirit it is meant - you and other film/TV score labels have a damned tough time of it - thanks for the effort you chaps and chapesses put in - without you lot we would probably have none of this music at all...blips happen, but damn it's rare...keep going, eh?

Got this CD yesterday. Brilliant stuff!

Re: the glitch, it's a weird one. I assumed it was some kind of loud digital pop, but it's not. There's a short pause near the end of the track (which sounds intentional to me) but the first note afterwards sounds slightly clippped. Weird. Clearly it's an assembly error rather than a mastering or disc fault.

Any news on a fix? Replacement?

PS A downloadable fix is not acceptable!

Silva said the would fix the problem and recalled this disc , they say give it about 2 weeks, you can contact them for what to do if you already have gotten it, Im sure they will replace the disc.
Btw the track is fixed on itunes already.

And, the availability-delay at SAE is likely because of this issue; hopefully, the pre-order will be up as soon as Silva has all-new discs.

I asked Silva on Twitter about when I could order the cd again and they told me the 2 week date. I figured the same thing as to why SAE has not posted the cd yet.

I noticed today that Silva took quick action regarding a Series 4 issue:

SilvaScreen Silva Screen Records
#DoctorWho Series 4 - The Specials - IMPORTANT! - for anyone who purchased the album through #iTunes US and Canada - http://bit.ly/cscKAy

Bravo to Silva for taking such actions.

Whats the matter children of the new age , dont like them mono tracks smile

My guess would be effect , if it were done on purpose of course. Mono gives music a classic old feel which might be what the composer was going for.

Just got Season 5 and The Specials discs for my birthday have ripped Season 5 but not the specials yet. Had a problem ripping CD 2, my computer hung trying to access track 34 and the drive sounds like it was having a har time reading that portion of the disc. Took a couple of attempts to complete the rip.

What's this about Bonus tracks for those albums?
