"Kung Fu" composer Jim Helms composed and arranged a bossa nova album on the budget label Crown Records circa 1963. The group includes Buddy Collette on flute/sax and Howard Roberts on guitar. Helms is the other guitarist (presumably rhythm). The group is rounded out by bass and two percussionists.
I picked up my copy at a Goodwill for two bucks in 2004. (The sticker is still affixed.)
Its been 11 years, any chance there could be a release of this music (sans dialogue) plus cues from the series unreleased? Its such outstanding music and even could have a 2nd cd of the original release.
Also, Jeff Danna's music from Kung Fu The Legend Continues is some really amazing work, of which i for one would buy a multi cd set of it.
Musings on a quiet evening
The way things are going, any pre-1990 title would have to be related to Goldsmith or Irwin Allen before it would be revisited.
