There are a ton of YouTube attempts at scoring either one sequence or the entire film. One for the entire film is fascinating, as it seems to literally want to be Vertigo/Psycho. Having a community orchestra play it along with the film isn't that helpful, but every attempt fails, which is fascinating. It somehow lessens the suspense rather than help. One does occasionally wonder what Mr. Herrmann might have come up with because he, unlike most film composers who are coming up these days, understood the point of having music in a film.
