Salonen took those scores and imbued them with the same care that any conductor would reading any classical composers work. He does a good job with Psycho and Fahrenheit, but his reading of Vertigo is disappointing. This version of "Scene d'Amour" is my least favorite of the several I own. It lacks mystery and romance, and the big build-up goes nowhere.
