Recently I bought these two finally on DVD. I've seen them before and they never cease to crack me up. I wish they made more films like this, just fun, entertaining with a touch of funny and an occasional tug at the heartstrings. BTW, Burgess Meredith steals EVERY single scene he is in with his sexual innuendo's. The outtakes at the end made me cry. Part two, Grupier Old Men, was just as sweet. I put these two films in the category like Father of the Bride/part 2, Sister Act. Films you can watch over and over again over the years and it's like your welcoming an old friend that always makes you smile. Alan Silvestri did some nice music for both. One CD would work great with some highlights from both films as he used the same themes for both films with an occasional new theme here and there. Looks like a great release from La-La Land!! The original soundtrack had a great cue, I think it was the end credit's I think.

I also really like the movies and their scores. The movies make me laugh so hard I cry at times. Too damn funny. The music is quite good (as usual for Alan Silvestri). Another comedy series Mr. Silvestri worked on I really liked... Father of the Bride. Yes, the Old Men need some soundtrack release love... I agree, these films always crack me up. I think I could have watched a whole film of just Burgess Meredith doing his schtick. He stole every scene he was in. "Mount the woman, Son."
