I would love to be able to hear this score, but not at the ridiculous asking price displayed above and elsewhere on the secondary market. Surely there has to be more than 550 fans wanting to hear this score.
One of the most unnecessarily expensive soundtracks I've seen... a reissue would at least make this more readily available, not to mention at a lower price.
If there's one title that NEEDS a re-release, this is it.
Cost me about $250 on Ebay from seller CONRAD THE BEAR.
Don't know why they limited it to 500 copies.
Wonderful score!
CONRAD has the highest prices on eBay. I NEVER buy from him and thank goodness. He wanted around $200 for Francis Lai's THE BABYSITTER and luckily I waited and got it reissued with a bonus track.

Sometimes it pays to wait.

He was actually asking more but I managed to bring the price down. CONRAD is a good seller though; I received my copy within three days for the standard shipping rate.
I got nervous that I didn't have this, but then I checked and I do. I can see that I got it at Amoeba, and I really don't think it was more than thirty bucks. I think I got it there in the last year or so.
Has anyone ever seen the series THE FRENCH REVOLUTION? As far as I know it's never been available on VHS/DVD and of course Blu-ray. The music is good especially disc one. However, it is not Delerue's best.

I saw the series on Youtube and it looks like has been taken from television broadcasts.

It was released on VHS and is available on DVD, however, only in French and with no subtitles. Apparently it was filmed in both English and French. The English version was shown on the Canadian CTV network and I taped it. It took me a little while to warm up to it; Part II is really depressing, both the film and score.
I hope they can release every bit of music that Delerue (possible alternates/unused music) wrote and improve on the sound quality since the DCM release was mastered much too loud.
I'm one of those 550 people or the number 551 would like to see published at a reasonable price this excellent soundtrack Delerue teacher. One day I was tempted to buy it on ebay, but the price was totally outrageous to me and still more so now because I'm unemployed. I have the hope that those responsible for MUSIC BOX, the re-edit, as Georges Delerue, is the favorite composer of this label.
