I love this score... was lucky to buy it from Cinémusique when they re-released it. FR has a number of tracks with deep, brooding, contemplative, tragic, yet beautiful string arrangements that Delerue was the master of.

Several years ago I acquired the Polydor CDs separately in two different e-bay auctions, costing me around $250. However, being in Canada, I pounced on 5 copies when it was re-issued domestically. With sales and trades, I thankfully made most of the excessive costs back...

Would buy a reissue of this straightaway.

There is certainly a market so let us hope it happens.

Not sure I would go for this since I have both the Polydor and the Cinémusique sets but it deserves to be out again!

What a great score this is, it deserves to be reissued.

Would buy in an instance. Never knew about the previous release and its way too expensive to Get now. Hopefully Quartet or Music Box can re-release it.

From what I gather Music Box Records is working on this:

Yes, they want to use the original tapes and hope -- wonder if -- the producer will be able to locate these tapes.

I do hope they find those tapes but, if not, a remastered reissue would do just fine.

Indeed, it would be great to find the tapes but if they don't I hope they don't abandon the release. A remastered reissue would be a great substitute.

Definitely agree! Remastered, original tapes, whatever...I'll take any clear sound. I just want to hear the complete score. I've been making do with the clips on YouTube, but the whole score would be superb. Also, I'd rather pay for a re-release than an astounding amount to a private seller, not to begrudge their selling a premium item, but...

Best wishes,

Diana

Finally available at a reasonable price. And for anybody who doesn't know, July 14th is Bastille Day, the French Fourth of July.

Bring on the revolution!

Look forward to this release. It's been on my list for a while now.

Superb music. If I could have only one Delerue score in my collection, it might well be this one.

Wonderful score! I'll gladly buy it again if it's sourced from the master tapes.
