Yes i definitely saw 5 man army twice on tv back then.

I cannot tell you the excitement of either seeing an italian western advertised for a monday night 9.25pm premiere or seeing it listed in radio or tv times and then having to concentrate at school for a day!! Couldnt wait to get home and find a blank cassette ready to record the music off the tv. (Back in those 70s years we got A professional gun too and the trinity films, Sabata, even u.s stuff like barquero ).

Itv also did a series called The Savage West, i think it was saturday nights in the summer mid 70s, which i think included Land Raiders. Happy days.

Yep, I caught both broadcasts of Five Man Army. I remember telling all and sundry to watch the second, including a whole class of girls! Not exactly a woman's film as such but it didn't stop me... I also remember audio recording the rebel theme at the end on cassette. A Professional Gun stuck that whistling theme in my head so hard I couldn't stop whistling it myself at school the next day.

The Savage West. Our ITV region was Yorkshire. We all know the memory cheats... for me for some reason it was late Monday nights. But I do remember a number of broadcasts including A Town Called Bastard with Telly Savalas? And at least one Eastwood film, possibly Hang 'Em High as I'm sure the ITV's listings magazine had a center page pin up from the film. You know, the one MGM seem to use for covers of dvd releases for Fistful of Dollars!
