Any idea if tracks 19-36 stem from another album or if they are a cross-selection of various other works?

WPIX used to run a 35mm print of BEAT GIRL back in the late 60's. I'll never forget the "chicken on the railroad" scene. WILD FOR KICKS!

Tracks 19-24 are vocals by Gillian Hills, one of the stars of Beat Girl. No connection to the film or to JB.

Tracks 25-36 are a selection of John Barry Seven & Adam Faith tracks which are now in public domain and so freely available without licence from EMI.

Thank you, exactly what I wanted to know. I thought maybe 19-36 comprised another LP, but I see it's a an individual selection.

bump..any comment about sound quality, liner notes etc..on the El Records release? In other words, can it be considered the definitive reissue so far?

I couldn't judge on it being 'definitive', but I'm enjoying the hell out of it.

I just ordered the CD. (finally) Amazon gave me free instant streaming, but only the first 18 tracks. Can someone confirm the CD has Gillian Hills song on it?

Only the first 18 tracks from the Play It Again cd reissue are from Beat Girl. The last 15 tracks on the cd are from Stringbeat, so you should be getting the Shirley Anne Field vocal in the 18 tracks.

Only the first 18 tracks from the Play It Again cd reissue are from Beat Girl. The last 15 tracks on the cd are from Stringbeat, so you should be getting the Shirley Anne Field vocal in the 18 tracks.

Thanks for the clarification. The description on Amazon was an error then.
