I picture Lukas giving a heavy, reluctant sigh as he checks his email.

I hope Lukas may be able to at least confirm he's working on this. I'll not ask another question, such as specific dates, etc. I'd like to simply know that it's in the works.

No offense to any other label, but I'm really happy that FSM may do this. I really adore their heavy-duty booklets and discs. Their attention to detail astonishes me.

Just thinking the same thing, As it's a Christmas Themed movie. But it was a movie released in the Summer of 84 and not at Christmas. So it could come earlier.

It was released at Christmas time in 1984 in Australia. So there.

It's not our fault whoever runs SAE's facebook page posted that.

Okay so it's confirmed, can we ALL agree to NOT email/call Lukas and/or SAE about this title then. So they aren't bombarded for months and months on when is it coming when is it coming etc. etc.

I'm quite excited and I'm very excited FSM is doing it as I know they will do a great job!

Thanks Taylor for letting us know.

What a great Jerry birthday treat, to find out today that it's coming, one of his BIGGEST holy grails for so many people, about any kid of the 80's myself included.

I already knew Gremlins was coming this year.

Great news! None the less.

No - but its your fault for making it public knowledge on this board. You're entirely culpable for spreading the information. Yeah, maybe the SAE guy should've zipped his lip - but because he was nice enough to say something to you doesn't mean you should spread it around.

When will people realize that when a CD is announced that means its been legally cleared and all the work is done. Its not that producers don't want to tell you beforehand - its that if they let the cat out of the bag too early, the entire job can fall through for various reasons.

Stop making these poor people's jobs harder than it has to be, please.

I can't agree with you there. Once SAE's guy announced it publicly, for many of us to see, it's out there. No point in pretending otherwise here.

I know several people here had the information already, but it was told to them in confidence, so they didn't say anything. I think that's the right thing to do. I'm surprised whoever it is at SAE who posts on Facebook let the cat out of the bag. But once it's out, it's out. It is not Jason LeBlanc who has made anybody's job harder.

Screen Archives has over 2800 Facebook friends. How many people post here? A couple hundred? Maybe? This board is much less public.

I don't believe I've ever emailed a record label for updates on as yet unreleased projects. I don't really see the point in asking. It'll come - or not - when it'll come.

GREMLINS was a Christmas release in the UK as well.

That's back in the good ol' days in Australia when we didn't get the big movies until the holiday season. You had to wait almost a half a year to see the movies that you read about in Starlog, Starburst and Fantastic Films etc. It's a different story today.
