Seriously, anyone see it?

Yes, I saw it last April at a monster kid meeting and I found it it vile and repulsive.

Yes - seen it.....and still making up my mind about it.....if I'm honest.....can't work out if it was Cronenbergian genius or vile sensationalist horsehite.....veering towards the latter but can't (quite) discount the former....yet....

History is going to have to make up it's own mind about this one - I sure can't.

....beware, sequel on it's way....

Edited to add - one of the first things I thought of when this movie was finished was how it seems a cousin to The Brood, Shivers and so on...I know Roger Ebert made this conncection too, but wanted to mention that it had actually occurred to me before I read his review...similar though his and my thoughts on the movie are...

I found it pretty forgettable. I don't really remember much about it other than it wasn't very exciting or disturbing.

It was completely pointless. Garbage.

I have heard about it and have to admit a morbid interest. It seems that most films I have
watched this year have been absolute crap, MACHETE being the latest. Anything has to be better than that putrid piece of sh*t! Whoops! I forgot KICK-ASS. Another artsy-fartsy "work" of genius!

a boring flick and not shocking as it said it would be...
I was waiting the whole time for that first person in the centipede to fart big right in the head of the second person making the whole thing a comedy but...

I don't remember anyone connected with the film claiming it would be shocking (I could be wrong though)...think this is more word of mouth from people walking out of casting sessions etc....also perhaps the claim that it is "100% Medically Accurate" (though, even I can see, it is nothing of the sort) made some people expect more than was finally given...

(dammit - just read the WikiPedia entry for the movie, which mentions the word "Cronenbergian"...my credibility is disappearing fast! Nothing cribbed, all my own work, honest guv'nor)

Well, he did poop in her mouth, and the lunacy of that scene momentarily had me laughing my ass off. The rest was just absurdly unfunny. But I'm sure it made a lot of money by the buzz it generated.

I saw the movie eighteen months ago and liked it. It's a monumentally grotesque badtaste black comedy, and I'm looking forward to the sequel (which I believe - but don't know for sure - has six people in the 'pede). Yes, it's a deeply revolting idea, but it's done with a measure of imagination and style.

It's also an original, and I'd rather have that than yet another botched remake.

Well, yes, I find it extremely original, and think the cast displays appropriate emotions of fear and anger, very nicely. Not sure I could possibly ever sit through it again, and a sequel holds zero interest, but I don't hate it.

Sad garbage. I tried, really. But there is nothing at all of merit in this bullshit.

It is total crap...no pun intended. Also, however, a perfect example of what talentless idiots can pass off as "edgy" or "art"

I've been meaning to watch this. However...we typically rent all our films from the Library (I don't own a Netflix account or anything like that) and it hasn't surfaced within the city/county databases yet.

Might have to break-down and obtain via another means.

Of course, I've heard mixed reviews, but I'll make a final decision after I view it. The lead male (the Doctor) is fairly convincing per what I've seen via the trailers. And if a scene becomes too unwatchable, I can always leave the room. E.g. I still do this, to this day, during some parts of Cannibal Holocaust and a few others. Just cannot stomach some scenes...but it doesn't cloud my judgment with re: to the over-all theme and plot.

Human Centipede? Wasn't he one of SPIDER MAN's enemies?

Yes. Ask the woman in the chain that had to eat the guy heading the chain's BM.
It probably wasn't to her taste.

Very poor film. Nowhere near as gruesome as I'd expected. Very hokey, ropey film, almost a comedy in some parts.

The acting is bad; the German doctors performance was laughable, the girls aren't likable, the Japanese guy is just bloody annoying.

Overall a bad film, could've been VERY disturbing but alas, it's all rather amateur.
