With all the Mark Mancina scores getting the royal treatment of limited edition releases. I can only assume the first Speed movie is set to get its own royal treatment?

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, between the first release and Lalaland's sequel score, do we need an expanded version of the first score? It's inferior to the orchestral-driven sequel, and I'd rather get expanded versions of Mancina's Disney scores first.

Yea see for me it'd be more than worth it haha. I love this score. I know a lot of the score is probably released on the original 19 track CD release, but I'm sure they could make it sound better than it did before. Do a bit more remastering work.

Anyways I think it's inevitable that it's going to get a limited edition release. I mean these past months have been a lot of Mancina.

The only score I'd like to see fully released is Tarzan.

Haha definitely.

I've never seen or heard the Tarzan score.

A great score, but I think the existing soundtrack is pretty representative. I would need the Collins songs too. Love Collins' "I'll Be In Your Heart".

I really don't think we need an expanded Speed.

I agree that the original SPEED is well represented on the current release. But boy would I like to get the full TARZAN score. I don't particularly care for the Collins songs and the score was so under-represented that I never even bought the soundtrack.

No, we most certainly don't.

I can't 'confirm' as such, but when Speed 2 was released by LaLaLand, MV heavily hinted that there would indeed be a release of Mancina's first Speed score in the not too distant future.

That's really awesome. I hope it happens.

The original score release is good, but I'm sure it can be expanded and the sound enhanced to some extent.

Thing is Speed 2 never had an original score release, where as Speed 1 did. I wouldn't think it is likely.

You don't think the sound could be enhanced in any way from the original release?

Maybe a little bit, but it sounds pretty perfect to my ears - like most modern, digital recordings.

I would be game for it. But, I am pretty happy with the original issue... the fact LaLa did the second... very nice. Been waiting for that for some time.

Favorite Mancina scores are still TWISTER and the first BAD BOYS. The latter has a great, memorable main theme. I find myself humming it all the time.

Yea true. Well my problem with the original soundtrack release which isn't a big issue and wouldn't be a reason to not buy it is the tracks aren't in chronological order. Which again, isn't that big of a deal, but just saying.

I'm a "Complete Score Guy" when it comes to movie scores. I like to have full scores if possible. Because when I pop in the CD(s) I usually will start from track 1 and let it run all the way through.

I take it you're more into just the best tracks being represented?

Why not? Lots of re-released and expanded scores from that period have been coming out for over the last year or so. It should be just as likely as anything else.
