Just wondering how many are going to this?

As usual many of the composers show up for such a rare performance of their work.
And there are no queues to wait in. The composers are usually in the audience, mingling and signing CDs before, during intermission and after in a pretty laid back atmosphere(even when they are conducting!). Those who have seen William Stromberg, Chris Young, John Ottman, Stu Phillips, John Morgan, etc. there know this. Bill always got a kick out them allowing you to bring your drink in the auditorium with you.

And then there is the music:

Really should be. So you are tall, lanky and have dark hair going all over the place. See you there!

I don't see your E-mail. I seem to only able to ignore you or look into the threads you have visited. However my E-mail is in my profile.

Hmmmm. Since they are playing one of the MEDAL OF HONOR scores I wonder if LaLaLand might be there selling their boxes? They have before.

Maybe at this stage I should tell a story Laura Karpman told at the stageside chat at last year's Videogame concert. Laura is an Emmy winning composer who for many years was trying to break into the tight feature scoring market. But with each feature she managed to score the experience seemed worse and worse. It was getting close to music by committee. she was getting really discouraged. So when she was offered her first videogame score she feared the worst. What sort of nightmare would this be? To her surprise she was told what the videogame was about what type of mood they wanted and left her to her own devices. She said she had never felt such professional freedom in her life. And every videogame project after that was the same way. And because all these projects had streetdates no tinkering was done at all. She said this must have been what filmscoring was in it's heyday. An artist allowed to bring all they can to visuals in any way they deemed fit. Heavy trust because you earned it. She also said if you want to hear where the most creativity in film scoring is today look to videogame scores.

Please do.
