Don't think there's a specific thread on this, but the movie and it's potential score have crept up on me. Thoughts or knowledge? I don't recall anything specific of his for Kick-Ass and literally don't know anything else. I'm hoping for another great breakout score from a relatively new young composer.
I'm cautiously optimistic about this one - both film and score - based on KICK-ASS. I really enjoyed that film and it appeared that my favourite bits of the score, including the memorable main theme, were composed by Jackman. I've enjoyed each subsequent X-MEN film less and less, but hope this prequel might give it a shot in the arm. I will be seeing it at the cinema upon it's release.
I'm a bit surprised that Singer didn't bring John Ottman in to score the film since Ottman is generally Singer's composer. Unless John had scheduling conflicts that he couldn't have scored this film.

Ottman is in London editing Singer's new film Jack The Giant Killer.
In that review, they called the director "a technician as self-congratulatory as he is competent".
The great part about that statement is that also describes the reviewer and his middle school mastery of the English language. (Nolan's Batman as a watermark for anything save well-placed pastiche in the quality of product placement is beyond dubious.)
Henry Jackman is HUGELY talented (and Zimmer himself raved about him in the Schweiger interview). I loved his bits on KICK-ASS, for example. Can't wait to hear this.

I haven't heard enough to say hugely talented, but he's one of the brighter young lights at MV these days. His stuff certainly was the best of the Kick-Ass score, but I haven't yet heard anything of his that's blown me away. Fingers crossed!
EDIT: Tracklist, if anyone's interested:
1. First Class 2. Pain and Anger 3. Would You Date Me? 4. Not That Sort of Bank 5. Frankenstein's Monster 6. What Am I Thinking 7. Cerebro 8. Mobilize for Russia 9. Rise Up to Rule 10. Cold War 11. X-Training 12. Rage and Serenity 13. To Beast or Not To Beast 14. True Colors 15. Let Battle Commence 16. Sub Lift 17. Coup d'État 18. Mutant and Proud 19. X-Men 20. Magneto
I'll give it a whirl when it's released (probably iTunes though). I like Jackman's sensibilities as he seems to have a lighter orchestration touch than his MV brethren.
I liked Jackman's work in KICK-ASS but enjoyed John Murphy's the best. Over all I enjoyed the whole score and everyone's contribution but when you have FOUR composers and various source music, it really is hard to single out THE BEST.
I am hoping this film is good fun. I found WOLVERINE to be stupid but mostly due to the problems of having a damn near immortal as a lead and taking place BEFORE events thus taking out all the suspense.
