----------

Sorry for what may seem to be at first sight a superfluous thread, but hear me out. The other thread is full of great requests, but it's kind of turning into a jungle, and a list so long that it's not workable and there's no difference made anymore between 'wanted' cues and 'absolute favourite' cues.

So what I suggest is:

- Everyone E-MAIL or PM me their 4+2 favourite cues: 4 absolute must-haves and 2 other favourites
(I don't know how many people will e-mail me, so it might be good to have some back-up tracks I could then either put in or leave as a 'secondary favourites' list.)

- Also cite the approximate cue/track length in min/sec in order to clearly delineate the tracks you'd like.

- Do NOT post your requests in this thread. That's the main idea: in this way we're sure to be left with everyone's top favourites without influence. And in this way there are bound to be some doubles which might make a final list shorter and more workable.

My e-mail is in my profile. Please don't post it in full on the internet at other places or so, except via PM to let other X-Files music fans now.

You can also PM me at JWFan or MainTitles.

Just for clarity: I'm just a fan and not affiliated with La-La-Land of course. Just trying to help here and get everyone's favourites an equal chance smile

Hope this takes off! I'll make a complete list out of everyone's suggestions and post it back here in a month or so? What do you think?

Cheers!

There's already a thread for this? Why do we need two?

Well, I mentioned this:

1) To centralize the requests
2) To make an 'absolute favourites' list
3) To give everyone an equal chance
4) To come up with a more workable and shorter overview

I'm totally agree with the 1,2 and 4 points but when I read the 3 I could't help to feel little confused, I think everyone has an equal chance, so immediately I said "an equal chance to what... to express?" anyway... nevermind.
I'll send you a PM with my favorite suggestions wink

I've got a few great requests assembled already smile
Don't forget, if you've got a few cues that you've been waiting all these years for, let me know so I can put it on this priority fan request shortlist.
I'll give it a few more weeks and then post the list here and in a request mail directly to LaLaLand.

Good initiative!
I'm gathering requests from elsewhere as well in a similar fashion.

I've already put an initial "ratings" system on my massive unreleased X-Files music page:
http://www.eatthecorn.com/dossiers/mmc.htm
Ratings are based on the and how many times this particular cue has been popping up in requests.

I'll be updating it as more feedback arrives.

Can I assume the requests in the other thread will be included too??

Well, best to e-mail or PM me with your favourite cues, really. Many people in the other thread have like 10+ requests!

Thanks to Orodromeus for spreading the idea! We'll be working together on this, so you can email/PM him instead, as well.

Great idea. While there are many, many cues that I would probably like to be included, I just can't remember them.
The only one I do is the one I've mentioned several times over the years here which I can't see listed on your site.

From the season 3 episode Grotesque when Mulder drives to, and searches the apartment. Part of it is featured on the Truth and the Light disc (2nd half of the track Kyrie ~1:40 onwards)

I didn't list it precisely because it is found on The Truth and the Light. Is the cue on Grotesque longer? The part on "Kyrie" is about 1:15.

lock this thread, dont bump it!

Why? This is an attempt to make a clear and surveyable fan list, one which is actually representative of all the X-Files fans' biggest and most desired requests, something which the other thread is not, where everything is cluttered, the amount of requests massive, and the respondents limited to FSM.

Meanwhile, if anyone else has decided on their absolute favourites, you know how to reach me or orodromeus.
