One of my favorite movies, and one of the best action films ever! It has a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. It is on Blu-ray and has a great transfer. I already started a THUNDERDOME thread and am posting them backwards, don't ask me why. What are your thoughts on the movie?

I'm not really sure we need yet another thread on this film, but my thoughts are pretty clear on this one... it's my favorite of the group.

I will go see Fury Road, but with no Mel my hopes are low.

Mad Max Forever

Great movie! My favorite of the series. (Had no idea it was on Blu-Ray. The DVD looks horrid. I'll have to upgrade, though I'm holding out for a box set tie-in whenever the new film comes out.) I even did a paper on it for my college mythology class, breaking it down in relation to Joseph Campbell's Hero of a Thousand Faces.

And (at the risk of sounding like I'm bragging) on a related note, I got to meet Vernon Wells at a horror convention in 2003. We mostly talked about Innerspace, but he signed my Road Warrior DVD and a photo. After all his tough guy roles, I admit, I felt a little intimidated going up to his table. But he was a really cool guy, and friendly as heck.

Here's the pic he signed for me:

Still the greatest action chase scene of them all.

Superb film in everything from action setpieces to production design to mood.

I doubt that'll happen, as the individual Max movies (like the Terminator films) are owned by different movie studios.
