I fail to understand now why I collected so many LP's, I had 100's of them. Aside from the actual music I despised all of them; snap, crackle, pop!! Apart from the first time I played one, they all sounded awful with all the spurious surface noise. LP's was music's worst invention, and I'm still angry for all the money and time spent on trashy vinyl. While I concede that the LP format does have its limitations, it is hardly "music's worst invention". For many years, the LP format was the best available format to play music at home, sonically clearly superior to audio tape.

I still have lots of LPs, mostly classical & soundtrack vinyls, and I usually have one or two of them somewhere on display in our living room. I do have plenty of vinyl memories and I spent lots of time playing LPs. Nowadays, however, my old LPs serve mostly as deco items. :-)
